Bottom 3

Fox runs a promo that suggests there is some team from Colorado waiting to play some more games. Must be a Japanese league.
Manny takes the first two for balls. Ball three. Strike one, an inch and a half off the ground. Oh, Dana! (Big Star reference) Ball four to Manny. He didn't hold his hands over his head.
Ball one to Lowell. Has anyone explained the theory of pitching to this kid? All the tools in the world, but, wow. Ball two. What was the Bull Durham line? Million dollar arm, 5 cent head. Ball three. Walked him on 4. Martinez was at the mound after ball two, Willis is headed there now, and there's action in the bullpen in the bottom of the 3rd.
Drew's up, and there's a bit of a different reaction to him this time. Salamis do that for you. Carmona has given up 5 hits and 4 walks in two plus innings. Ball one to Drew. A shot up the middle scores Manny. First and second nobody out, and 5 RBI for Drew. That's it for Carmona. Perez, he of the 40.50, that's 40.50, era, is in.
Carmona threw 11 pitches in the third, only two of them strikes; for the game: 63 pitches, 30 strikes. You just have to hope that this isn't the kind of thing that wrecks a young guy's career.
Perez warms.
Tek stands in and takes strike one. Strike two, swinging. Ball one in the dirt. The Sox really should score at least one of these guys on now. Add on runs, oh the joy of add on runs. Tek flies to Sizemore, Lowell to third. Hey, he got him over. First and third, one out.
Ellsbury takes high and inside. Jacoby cranks one to left for his first playoff hit, and rbi, with Lowell scoring. First and second, still only one out.
Lugo has been good in these situations, and pretty much only these situations, this year. Strike one, swinging. On 0-1 Lugo doubles down the third base line, Drew and Ellsbury score. 8-1 Sox. Man, Ellsbury can fly. It'll be fun watching him play a full season next year.
Ball one to Pedroia, more activity in the Tribe pen. Strike one. Oddly, Mark Shapiro doesn't look as happy tonight. Ball two in the dirt, no advance for Lugo. Ball three, and a nice stop by Martinez prevents Lugo advancing. Dustin walks.
Willis is going to have to pay rent at the mound in this game.
Ball one to Youk. Now Martinez back to the mound. Foul at the plate, 1-1. Youk hits the wall, Lugo scores, the throw goes into second and Youk's hung up, but Cabrera's throw hits Youk in the helmet, the ball rolls away and Pedroia scores, Youk safe at first. And Perez is out of the game, 10-1 Sox, still only one out.
Aaron Laffey is next for the Indians. Papi grounds the first ball to first; Garko steps on the bag and throws wildly to second. Youk is safe, with two out. Apparently no error on the no assuming a double play rule. They will review that.
Manny sees ball one, ball two and ball three. And he walks on four.
And they post the throwing error on Garko.
A called strike one to Lowell, the 11th batter of the inning. Strike two, called. Ball one. Lowell rips a foul into the seats down the third base line. Mike flies to Trot down in his old corner.
Great inning!
Indians pitchers threw 36 pitches, only 15 of them strikes.
6 runs, 4 hits, 2 errors, 4 walks. 10-1 Sox!
