Schilling gets it over for strike one to Spilborghs. He kind of sums up the NL disadvantage in AL parks in the World Series. Apparently he's the best bat they can stick in the DH slot. Hurdle clearly decided to put him in the pitcher's slot to keep his lineup as intact as possible. He takes a called third at 2-2.
Strike one to Taveras. At 0-2 he grounds to Lowell. Two down.
Matsui takes a breaking ball for strike one. He also takes a called third, at 1-2.
Schill has settled in nicely, too.
